Our Story
SalonCompare was born out of a simple frustration: finding out how much a balayage, cut, or colour actually costs shouldn't require ringing five different salons. We believed there had to be a better way — and so we built one.
We're a small, independent team based in London. We started by manually researching prices from salon websites across London, and quickly realised how much time people waste trying to compare costs. So we set out to create a single, honest resource where anyone can see real prices from real salons, side by side.
SalonCompare is operated independently: we are not owned by a salon group or booking platform. Our goal is consumer transparency, not selling leads — you book directly with the salon.
Today, SalonCompare covers dozens of salons and treatments across London's most popular areas — from Notting Hill and Chelsea to Richmond and Chiswick. And we're growing every week.
Prices, corrections & listings
We record prices from each salon's own published menu or price list where possible. When a venue does not publish a clear price for a treatment we track, we may omit it rather than guess.
Salons change menus often. If you spot a wrong price or a missing service, please contact us with a link to the salon's current page — we prioritise corrections from owners and staff.
New London salons with public pricing are picked up as we expand coverage; there is no pay-to-rank and we do not reorder comparison results for a fee.
